I came home the other day and much to my surprise a clone trooper awaited. Apparently, Halloween starts a bit early in our household but it gave me an excuse to break out the strobe lights. Two lights on each side provided a rim light type of effect overpowering the ambient light. Aidan was kind enough to stand near a wall so that I could blow out the background and get a nice back lit effect using the same two lights. There was only one shot taken before my subject moved on to do his part in the clone wars.
This would be a great time for suggestions on what Zoe should be? So far the best we could come up with is Yoda. I suggested Darth Vader (on sale at Toys R Us) but Michelle dismissed it as inconsistent with the timeline (i.e. Darth Vader was in the earlier/later movies than the clone troopers). BTW, it's weird having my wife be the one to enforce the authenticity of the Star Wars plot. She could be a Padawan but we don't really allow lightsabers in our household. So basically the criteria is "accuracy" and "consistency" of the Star Wars storyline and no weapons.
