... so it's personal taste, but Aidan did a good job with taking the train out of focus and giving it a dreamy look which works with the desaturated colors. That's a very useful skill for wedding photography. Zoe took a nice photo of a crane that would have eluded me. My photography tends to be much tighter and would have cropped out the wood rail, but it actually works to point and draw attention to the bird. Not too shabby for a two year old.
Technical Photography Notes: A couple of generalities:
- Besides the photographs documenting A and Z's doing their thing, all works originate from A and Z.
- The only post-processing done on their images, was a bit of cropping. Aidan went so far as to ask me to set his camera to Sepia mode for some of the images "to make it artsy Dad".
- The video was done by yours truly, one thing at a time :)

loved the video clip Whitman-that is awesome that the kids are learning some photography skill from their Dad-they will be ready for jobs in no time! =)
Great video editing! You should add it to your services, if you haven't already.
I absolutely love the DOF and colors on the pictures of Zoe and Aidan in the car with their cameras before them.
And for some personal follow up, we just got new photo equipment: we had ordered an extra battery (useful!) and external flash on eBay, and received them today, AND Frank won a 500$ gift card from a tech store this weekend at an event, so he bought a Nikkor 50-200mm f4.5-6G zoom lens with Vibration Reduction - it's a superstore, so they don't have a lot of lens choice, but he thought the 50-200mm would complement the 18-55mm we already have. I haven't had the chance to try it out much yet, but the few shots I tried had a good light quality, so that's great.
Alright, good night now. And congrats again for the cool video!
