Aidan woke up early and did a Chinese fire drill (or that's what it sounded like) around his room. Naturally, Zoe woke up next. As my eyes drowsily opened, a very tired wifey lay beside me. So I decided to take one for the team and what followed would have looked like the script from the television show 24:
7:00am - "Sprung" out of bed.
7:08am - Convinced the kids that the sunrise would be beautiful to see all the while watching it get brighter outside.
7:10am - Snagged my iPhone on the kitchen counter and my tripod and Bogen super clamp sitting on top of an increasingly large pile of boxes in the garage. My wallet, drivers license and mind are left behind in the haste, something I only realize later.
7:12am - Drove everyone in their pajamas to Ryan Park in Foster City while incoherently fielding questions from two curious minds in the backseat.
7:15am - Dashed out of the car and release the kids into the wild.
7:20am - The tripod and iPhone were setup to take 30 photographs, 20 seconds apart despite holding onto Zoe with one hand and playing Bionicles with Aidan using the other.
7:21am - My kids and I enjoyed a priceless moment together.

... and yes the photographs came out beautifully (luckily for me) but you'll have to wait and see them :)
